Salta is a small city, everybody knows each other and people walk not so fast. Nobody is in a hurry, but driving is so bad. No rules are respected in the city, and crossing the street, such a simple thing!, could result a little bit complicated. Sightseeing is so pleasant.  People are polite and friendly. If you see some people rushing with a camera in their hands;  He/She must be a porteño/a.

If you get lost ask anyone, nobody is too busy to pass by you without stopping. And if it is not siesta time, maybe he invites you eat some empanadas. Even policemen are nice and freindly. We are not very proud of them, but it works to keep thieves away from the turists. And if you are tourist, you are V.I.P. Night is also safe for foreigners. Taxi drivers, waiters, workers are helpful if you need anything.

If you come to SAlta, relax. This is a nice place to be enjoyed. You arrive as a toruist, but you leave as a friend!
