Daytona Beach offers miles of breathtaking beauty and hours of fun.  Whether your idea of the perfect day at the beach is relaxing with a book, casting a line, building a sandcastle or plunging into the refreshing surf, the beaches are ready to accommodate you.

Ocean Walk Village offers 10-movie theaters and a  variety of dining options with beautiful views of the beach and the historic Bandshell.   Daytona Lagoon water park and entertainment center is located directly across the street and connected to the parking garage on Earl Street.

Another type of amusement park enjoyed by families is Daytona 500 Experience.  This interactive motorsports complex offers kids of all ages the chance to experience NASCAR fun.  They can race at Acceleration Alley, check out the action at Daytona Dream Laps, play video games at Daytona SpeedPlay, participate in the timed pit crew demonstation, and  watch movies at the Pepsi IMAX theater.

For those with a passion for exploration, you'll find convenient rentals of beach cruiser bicycles, scooters and 4-wheelers. Or, you may choose to take a parasail excursion that will take you from the beach to boat dock to bird's-eye-view in minutes, for a flight that will take yor breath away!  Beach vendors offer a variety of water toys to rent.  Try your hand at surfing and boogie boarding, or stretch out in comfortable beach chairs and umbrellas.  Pedestrians find the hard-packed sands perfect for a brisk jog or relaxing stroll.  For beachgoers with special needs, be sure to try out a Surf Chair, an all-terrain non-electric wheelchair that navigates safely and comfortably in surf and soft sand.  Ask any lifeguard for the nearest location to you.

For families who like to include a bit of education in their vacations, visit to the Halifax Historical Museum, Marine Science Center,  Museum of Arts & Sciences and the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse.   Also make sure to take the factory tour at Angell & Phelps Chocolate Factory.
