Bangor is a four season climate with warm summers and cold winters. The high tourist season is summer through fall as most fair-weathered fans do not wish to come over the cold periods when the temperature drops below freezing. However, the Christmas season is of course very festive and a beautiful time to visit Bangor.

Spring comes relatively late to Bangor, late April is when weather truly starts to warm and the flowers can think about coming up. March tends to have quite a bit of snow still and even into early April. April and May can be quite wet and windy. The truly warm weather and good time to visit comes with June. July and August are the warmest and most humid months but even then its normal to have temperature lows in the 60s at night. Bringing layers of clothing is the smartest way to go when packing for your trip to Bangor.

A major highlight of the region that you may wish to plan for is the fall foliage. The leaves start changing relatively early but put on a grand display of colors. The leaves begin changing colors in September and peak by October.
