County seat of Powder River County, MT. Approx. population of town is 450 and the center of the Southeastern Montana ranching community.  Great stopping off point when traveling east/west on Highway 212 or north/south on Highway 59.  Commonly used as a shortcut between Billings, MT and Rapid City, SD rather than traveling on Interstate 90 (2-1/2 - 3 hours each way.)  Nice travel center east of town and an OUTSTANDING Historical Museum just 1 block off the highway in the middle of town.  Then again, most everything is a block or two away from the highway!    If you are interested in the real west, this is the place.
