Elko's unique cuisine is Basque food.  There are several Basque restaurants in town with The Star and Bil Toki being standouts.  They're located on Silver Street, which runs along the backside of the Stockmen's Casino.  The Star is better known, they don't take reservations, and there is always a wait.  Bil Toki takes reservations.  The Basque restaurants close for a day off on different days of the week so there's always one open.  Take your appetite and always agree to garlic on your rib steak!
