By plane:  Travelers can enter the area via plane using the University Park Airport .  This is a small airport which is served by connecting flights from other nearby international airport.  These connecting flights are linked through four different airlines; Delta Connection, Northwest Airlink , United Express and U.S. Airways Express.  More information can be obtained from the official website for the airport which is located at http://www.statecollegeairport.org/.

Upon arrival:   The airport is conveniently located so that travelers can reach their hotel destinations easily via taxi or shuttle.   Alternatively, travelers can opt to rent a car from Avis ( www.avis.com ), Hertz ( www.hertz.com ) or National ( www.nationalcar.com ).   There are no buses running to the airport, so visitors should plan to spend a little bit of money upon arrival in order to get to their hotel destination.

By car:  Travelers heading to the area by car usually come via Interstate 80.  Other popular routes include U.S. Routes 220 and 322.  Specific driving directions can be obtained from Google ( www.maps.google.com) or Mapquest ( www.mapquest.com).

By bus:  Visitors who are interested in reaching the area as inexpensively as possible should consider taking the Greyhound Bus which runs directly in to a station located near the Penn State Campus.  Most commonly, visitors come through either Pittsburgh or Philadelphia on their route.  See www.greyhound.com for detailed schedule and route information.
