Memphis mansions
Three and four-story Victorian mansions from the mid-1800 early period of Memphis are restored and offer tours. During Memphis' early period of growth wealthy citizens built grand, Victorian-style homes in what was then the outskirts of the city. Some have been restored along Adams Avenue and include the Woodruff-Fontaine House (1870) and the Harsson-Goyer-Lee House (1871). The once home of riverboat owner James Lee was restored with communitiy donations to it's original striking eclectic-style. The Victorian Village neighborhood is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
