Some visitors may find the Dallas Zoo disappointing due to the habitats for the animals being fairly small.  The otter and penguin exhibits, in particular, are small with not much room for the animals to play.  Much of the foliage in the displays are household plants (e.g. Pothos Ivy, Corn plants, Mother-in-laws tongue).  There is a lot of area for humans to walk around though.
