For a city it's size, Madison has many fine dining establishments.  As Central Wisconsin is fertile farmland, the dining in this city revolves around supporting local farmers and using local products to create fantastic meals.

L'Etoile features fresh regional cuisine on a seasonal menu, and in 2006 was rated one of the top 50 restaurants by Gourmet magazine.  It's location on capital square makes it prefectly located for a fine business dinner or a romantic evening complete with a stroll around the capital.

Harvest, is another restaurant that features Wisconsin's bounty with a French-American menu using fresh, regional products.  The restaurant itself has an intimate setting on the square, and features outside dining in the summer.

Restaurant Magnus is a favorite again using local products but this time to support a South American inspired menu.  Many like Magnus for its steaks.

The Blue Marlin is again on the square and is the place in Madison for fresh seafood.  The restaurant is very intimate, and perfect for special occasion dining.

The Ocean Grill is another fantastic seafood restaurant, however the atmosphere is quite different - this one is sleek and sophisticated, with all the energy of a restaurant in a large city.

CocoLiquot features French bistro cuisine in an upscale, retro-inspired setting.  While the menu is fantastic, the highlight of the evening is the chocolate menu, created by the in-house chocolatier.
