Atlanta is home to a variety of antique stores, from refined showrooms to quaint flea markets.

Chamblee's Antique Row

Located off Peachtree Industrial near the intersection of I-85 and I-285, Chamblee's Antique Row contains over 30 different antique stores. Some are more specialized than others but there's something for everyone. Stores are open seven days a week, afternoons only on Sunday.

Lakewood Antiques Market and Gallery

An Atlanta institution, the Lakewood Antiques Market and Gallery is located about 10 minutes south of downtown. Held on the second weekend of every month (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), the market takes place at the former Lakewood Fairgrounds over 13 acres and attracts more than 1,500 vendors from around the country. Stalls are located not only in five large buildings but outside as well, so bring an umbrella if it's a rainy day. Food vendors are also on the grounds.

You can find anything from wrought iron artwork to rare books to bookcases to vintage farm equipment. It's also a great place to people watch. Early shoppers can dig for treasures on Thursday when vendors are setting up for $5, which is good for all weekend. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, admission is $3, good for all weekend.

An additional location, Lakewood 400 Market in Forsyth County (35 miles north of Atlanta) opened last year, and is open on the third weekend of every month. It is not as big as the original yet.

Scott Antique Market

More upscale than Lakewood, Scott's prices also tend to be a bit higher, but some bargains can be found. Seasoned antiquers like Scott's and can find jewelry, silver, Oriental rugs and Victorian furniture. Located about three miles from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, Scott's is open on the second weekend of every month (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) at the Atlanta Expo Centers.
