The trees and parks surrounding the beautiful homes make Ansley Park so very special. If you're walkin, cycling, or flinging frisbees, it seems like you're in the middle of Central Park in New York.
In fact, Ansley Park is just as historic. The community is 102 years old this year and was designed by Frederic Law Olmsted who designed the first garden suburb in Illinois. The community was envisioned and developed by Edwin P. Ansley, a real estate mogul who dreamed of a motorcar-oriented community with winding streets and lavish parks where Atlanta’s elite would gather to live and play. In 1904 the dream was realized when Ansley Park became Atlanta Georgia's first garden suburb, based on Olmstead's plan.
Ansley Park is an oasis in the heart of Atlanta. It exists quietly and harmoniously within the confines of the city and has attracted a diverse, energetic, and community conscious populace. All ages, races, and colors can been seen going in and out of the beautiful Georgian homes, stunning English Tudors, American Federal designs, and Craftsman styles. There are apartment complexes and condominiums too. Truly something for everyone.
